Whip up a quick and easy meal any night of the week. So much flavor with only 3 ingredients, everyone will enjoy sheet pan pesto salmon and green beans.
Some nights are so busy. Between homework and after school activities I find myself with very little time to prepare dinner. That’s why sheet pan dinners are so great. You can prepare them early in the day, but you don’t have to. It takes minimal time to toss everything together, and then bake it. And then I can get other things done while dinner is in the oven. This sheet pan recipe only has three ingredients, but it’s packed full of flavor. Pesto, with its sweet basil and salty parmesan, is a favorite around our house. And, it’s a great ingredient for instantly adding a lot of flavor, minimal effort required.
Fill the Sheet Pan
This recipe is so incredibly easy. First, put the salmon and green beans on the sheet pan. Line your pan for even easier clean up. Arrange your salmon filets on one side of the pan. It’s easy to feed a large crowd with this meal if you need to, just add as much salmon as you need. Fill up the other side of your sheet pan with green beans. You can use fresh or frozen. Frozen green beans usually come trimmed. If you’re using fresh green beans, trim the ends.
Top with Pesto
Now it’s time for flavor magic. Add pesto to the top of your salmon filets. Use the back of a spoon to spread it all over the top. Then, add a dollop of pesto to the green beans. Use some tongs to toss the green beans around until they are all coated with the pesto. And that’s it. There’s so much flavor in the pesto, there’s no need for any other seasonings.
Bake for 20 Minutes
After prepping your salmon and green beans, bake them in the over for 20 minutes at 425°. The salmon is cooked though when it flakes easily with a fork.
